Man traditional clothing “choxa-axaluxi”– There is in Georgian historical sources since IX century,
which belongs to dress type clothing. Their general characteristic is sharp waist, wide ending, many laps,
open front side and wrinkly lap. There is choxa for males and females.

Woman clothing – long dress and “chixti-kopi” same as hat are parts of georgian clothing. Dress
is national clothing of Georgian woman. As mantle they used short fur velvet “qatibi” in winter
and in summer they used knee long “toloma”,they wore “talma” – socks and wore leather shoes,
under the dress they wore long silk shirt.

Georgian folk dance – Georgian folk choreography has history of many centuries. In Georgia we have
11 region so called “kutxe”, each of them is unique for its nature but for its dances. These are : “kartuli”
same as “davluri”,”mtiuluri”,”xevsuruli”,”tushuri”,”adjaruli”,”rachuli”,”qartl-kaxuri” and so on.

Georgian gastronomy – Georgian traditional gastronomy is special for its diversity, there harmonically
merged meat and vegetable dishes. In Georgia we have 11 region so called “kutxe”, each of them is
unique for its nature,dialect but for its kitchen. In west of Georgia there is mostly vegetable dishes and in
east of Georgia there is mostly meat dishes. The most famous dishes for everyone are :
xachapuri,mwvadi,xinkali,sacivi,phkaleuli assortement and so on.

Georgian traditional holidays – Nowadays in Georgia there are celebrated many folk or religional
holidays. Every history is associated with legend and every holiday is celebrated differently in each “kutxe”.one
of the most distinctive holidays are easter and Christmas, which are celebrated at the same time across all
“kutxe”. Also in different “kutxe” of Georgia we will meet holidays which are special for this “kutxe” : lamproba in
svaneti, lomisoba in mtiuleti, kalandoba in guria, lasharoba in tusheti and pshavi, andriaoba in kharagauli and
many other.
